Privacy policy
RingTrack keeps incoming-call timing records on your Android device. There are no RingTrack accounts, advertisements, analytics SDKs, cloud synchronization, or call recordings. This version does not request Internet access.
Information used on your device
With your permission, RingTrack uses phone-state signals to observe when incoming cellular calls ring and stop ringing. Android's caller-ID service can provide the incoming phone number. Contacts access lets RingTrack match that number to a saved name. RingTrack does not read your system call-log database.
If you enable notification access, Android grants broad notification-listener access. RingTrack filters for supported calling apps and processes their call-notification fields, including any caller name or number they provide, to estimate ring duration and infer available call-state information. It does not save message conversations or record audio. Notifications from unrelated apps are ignored.
RingTrack stores the caller name or number when available, platform, timestamps, observed duration, outcome, and measurement-quality information in its private local database. Temporary caller-ID matching information is stored locally. Debug builds may keep a bounded, in-memory diagnostic trace of notification types and lifecycle events, without notification text, names, or phone numbers. Release builds disable this trace.
Purpose and background access
This access enables the core incoming-call timing and caller-history features, including when RingTrack is not open on screen. Permissions are optional; declining or revoking them limits the related features. Choosing RingTrack as the Android caller-ID provider replaces the previous caller-ID provider, not the dialer. RingTrack does not block or silence calls.
Storage, sharing, and retention
RingTrack does not transmit this information to its developer or to advertising or analytics services. Android backups for app data are disabled. Records remain on the device until you clear the app's storage or uninstall it. Temporary share images are stored in the app cache, which Android may clear.
When you explicitly choose Share Record, the selected record is provided to the recipient app you choose using Android's share sheet. That app's privacy practices then apply. Copies shared outside RingTrack are not deleted when RingTrack's local data is deleted.
Your controls
You can manage Phone and Contacts permissions in Android Settings > Apps > RingTrack > Permissions; notification access under Android's special app access settings; and the caller-ID provider under default apps. To delete all local RingTrack records and settings, use Android Settings > Apps > RingTrack > Storage > Clear data, or uninstall RingTrack. There is no server-side RingTrack account or dataset to delete.
If you email support, your email address and the information you voluntarily include are processed to answer your request through the support email provider. Do not send private call records unless needed for your request. You may request deletion of support correspondence by emailing the contact above, subject to any applicable retention obligations.
Measurement limitations
Phone durations reflect Android state signals, not independently verified audible ringing. Messaging-app durations are notification-based estimates. Missing or ambiguous signals can produce incomplete records. Caller names or numbers are unavailable in some situations. RingTrack does not guarantee complete capture, exact physical ring duration, or identification of who ended a call.
Changes
